BEE

Maredi Telecoms is a Level 1 BEE enterprise.

The company’s Black Economic Empowerment status is underpinned by the following;

Maredi Telecoms is owned and managed by highly qualified Black entrepreneurs with extensive experience in managing corporations in South Africa and across the continent.

This pan African experience includes the management of complex greenfield telecoms projects that demand high technical expertise; sound commercial contracting; efficient logistics and innovative community engagement.

Maredi Telecoms is a youthful organisation, employing young people who mostly graduated from the company’s FET/TVET College Internship Programme.

This programme was started in 2011 and has trained over 60 young people who have since found jobs and are developing exciting careers for themselves in the telecoms industry.

The programme continues to date. Its recent graduates are students from Vhembe TVET College who are currently implementing the SA Connect project in Limpopo.

Maredi Telecoms embraces the principle of incorporating micro enterprises into projects so as to achieve genuine localisation objectives.

The company invests a significant amount of resources and management time to assist such companies to develop the capacity required to participate in the various aspects of infrastructure project deployment.

Such assistance includes the selection and recruitment of personnel; compilation of health and safety files; quality assurance during the execution of projects and submission of as-built documentation.
